History
R.T. Transportation Inc. was started in 1984 by Mike Milcarek, Tom Miski, and Bob Anderson. All three owners worked for Santa Fe Trail Transportation, a division of Santa Fe Railroad, in key positions. When Santa Fe Trail was sold in 1984, Mike, Tom, and Bob, with a combined trucking experience of 85 years, saw an opportunity to create a competitive high performance Brokerage/Agency; hence , R.T. Transportation Inc began serving the shipping public. Originally based in Orland Park, IL, we quickly out grew our facility and relocated to Palos Heights, IL. After 9 ½ years in Palos Heights, IL R.T. Transportation Inc bought a larger facility in New Lenox, IL where we continue our operations today.
